IDOT Road Improvements Underway
The Rebuild Illinois Capital Program was passed in 2019 and is paying for signficant infrastructure improvements across the state. Champaign County is part of IDOT Region 3 – District 5 and was approved for nearly $222 million of construction. The largest project in Champaign County are the I-57/I-74 Interchange, I-72/I-57 Interchange, and resurfacing of US Route 45 (S Neil Street). Work on these projects could impact your travels, so keep an eye out for information on IDOT”s website.
